Privacy
How Region N3 handles reader information.
Region N3 is a Northwest Indiana news site under the National News Network brand. This page describes our current practices.
What we collect
- Account details you submit when you register (username, display name, password hash).
- Session cookies used to keep you signed in when you create an account.
- Optional tip submissions and newsletter emails you choose to send us.
- Basic server logs (IP, path, time) for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies or similar technology from advertising partners only when ads are actually shown (see Advertising below).
How we use it
We use account and session data to run the site and protect staff tools. Tips go to the newsroom for review and are not auto-published. We do not sell reader lists.
Advertising
Google AdSense is not currently serving ads on Region N3. We may show other ads or local sponsor placements (see /advertise) while the newsroom rebuilds page quality. If a third-party ad network is re-enabled later, that network’s cookie and privacy practices would apply and we will update this page.
